Acts 10:38 (NLT)
And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
The word of God made it clear to us that Jesus is interested in both our physical and spiritual wellbeing. The verse above illustrates to us Jesus’ ministry as he went about healing the sick and casting out demons. Every illness or disease has a spiritual background, but Christ has given us the authority to use His name in order to live soundly and victoriously. He gave this authority to every believer to exercise when he said in my name you shall lay hands on the sick and in my name you will cast out demons. It is important to note that miraculous healing is available but its purpose is to validate the power God. When we realize that the primary reason for healing is not maintenance of the human body but a spiritual awakening a lot of question are put to rest, as demonstrated in John 9:1-7. God has more than one way to heal the sick, and should not be limited to a particular method. Trust God and his plan for you.
